A Message from Ritchie Webb

After I retired from the Neshaminy School Board, I fully intended on taking some time off before deciding what I wanted to do next. But in the days following my departure, I became angry and frustrated all over again when I picked up the newspaper and read how local school districts were cutting programs and closing school buildings because they lacked funding or they could no longer afford their staggering share of the State pension fund for teachers (PSERS).
We dealt with these issues as best we could on the school board, but these are matters to be fixed at the state level. Education funding and the pension crisis have been unresolved issues for years, yet for some reason our elected officials in Harrisburg do little more than talk when it comes to fixing these problems.
I am tired of politicians getting elected on promises they never keep.
I am fed up with politicians crowing about meaningless legislation they have proposed while the really important issues are ignored.
I am sickened when I hear stories of how residents cannot afford to live in their homes.
I couldn’t sit back anymore. It was time to do something. This is why I decided to run for State Representative.
And this is why I am asking for your support.
On Tuesday, May 20th, I am asking for your vote in the Democratic primary. I want to bring my leadership skills and track record of working across party lines to Harrisburg so that together we can make a difference.
Running a campaign for a state-level office isn’t cheap. And as one of my campaign advisors keeps reminding me, we angered all the special interests while we were fixing things in Neshaminy so you know we won’t be getting donations from them! So unfortunately, I must also ask for your financial support.
At the top right portion of this website you will see the ways that you can contribute to my campaign. I know how tight money is these days, and I don’t make this plea for your support lightly. But Harrisburg isn’t going to fix itself, and so I am asking for your help so that I can help you.
In the weeks leading up to the May 20th Democratic primary, I encourage you to take a close look at the candidates, the issues they support, and the experience they bring to the table. Once you consider all these factors, I am both hopeful and confident that you will agree that I am the best candidate to represent the people of the 142nd Legislative District.
Thank you for reading, and THANK YOU for your support!
Ritchie Webb

  1. I'll vote for him in the primary and I'll vote for him in November. Frank Farry had his chance and did nothing with it. If he thinks another flurry of activity during an election year is going to fool me again, fat chance Frank!

    Ritchie Webb for state representative!

  2. Richie watched out for the taxpayer and didn't play political games. He's a good man and he gets my vote.

  5. Ritchie has shown by his actions, not hollow promises, that he is a man of honor and integrity. He is NOT another opportunistic Political Hack. His commitment to taxpayers' best interests and the community are unquestionable. Ritchie is a man of Action, not words. By far, our best bet to get Harrisburg to listen and ACT.

  6. I have know Ritchie Webb for all of his life. He came from humble beginnings and is all too familiar with the plight of the common man. He has spent his adult life working to improve the life of his family, community and fellow man. He says what he means and means what he says. Truth, honesty and integrity means everything to him. These are not traits of your average politician.

If we had more politicians with his straight forward character and values, our world would be a better and different place to live in. He is accustom to working long hours and making tough decisions to bring about a desired outcome that will benefit all affected by his accomplishments. He is a master at promoting the atmosphere of cooperation, collaboration and compromise to bring people together to accomplish goals of common interest. If anyone can bring opposing political ideas to the table to work together for a common cause, Ritchie is your best bet of that happening of anyone I've ever known.

Webb did a great job on the school board. He left the board and within a month he fought along side a citizens group to convince the Middletown supervisors to make the EIT only 1/2 a percent instead of 1%. Ritchie Webb knows how to make things happen.

I may not have agreed with him on every issue but I cannot argue his success. He has earned a shot at Harrisburg. By contrast, Frank Farry has earned a shot at becoming a full time fire fighter since he doesn't really do anything as a state rep.

  8. A few Sundays ago some guy comes knocking at my door asking me to sign a petition for some female lawyer who is running against Richie in the democrat primary. He tells me I should sign for her because unlike Richie she is a true democrat. I'm pretty sure this guy was a teacher I've seen at school board meetings so I ask him what she going to do about the teachers pension problem. He says she knows it is a problem. I tell him that you don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure it is a problem. I want to know what this lady lawyer is going to do about it (like we need another lawyer in politics). The guy studdered a few seconds then re said that she knows it's a problem and will work hard with other politicians to fix it. It is pretty obvious to me that this lawyer is in bed with the teachers and won't do a darn thing about the pension problem.

Where is it written that a true democrat has to shill for unions without figuring out a way how to pay for things? I am all for education but I want my money to go to the kids. If this lawyer is in the teachers back pockets then there is no way we can afford her as our state representative.

I want someone who will fight for the people and taxpayers. This lawyer isn't it. Frank Farry sure as heck isn't it. Richie Webb is the one for the job and I would vote for him no matter what party he was in. If there is anyone who can figure out how we can pay for education without bankrupting the average person, it has got to be Richie Webb.
